DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: Kindergarten registration has been rescheduled for Febr
 uary 6 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.\n \nMarion County Public Schools will host 
 kindergarten registration Friday\, February 6 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm at ea
 ch of the district’s four elementary schools.\nParents of children who p
 lan to enroll in MCPS kindergarten are asked to bring their child to the r
 egistration event along with their child’s birth certificate\, immunizat
 ion records\, physical exam\, dental exam\, eye exam and proof of residenc
 y (for example\, a utility bill). No appointment is necessary.\nThe event 
 will include a kindergarten-readiness screening of the students.\nKinderga
 rten is open for children who will be five years old on or before August 1
 \, 2026.\nParents should attend registration at the school where their chi
 ld will enroll. If parents are unsure which elementary school their child 
 will attend\, they can contact MCPS Director of Early Childhood Education 
 Amy Willis by phone at the MCPS central office at (270) 692-3721 or by ema
