Here is a look at the week at MCPL! We have a busy week this week! We kick things off Monday with Bingo at 10:30AM for ages 18+ at our Main Branch. At our Loretto Branch we will have Video Chair Yoga at 10AM & 7PM. We will also have another Resume Writing Workshop at 5PM at the main branch. Also at our Main Branch we will also have speaker Eddie Price with us again at 5:30PM telling us about Christmas in the American Colonies. This event is great if you’re interested in colonial history or just interested in the history of Christmas and how its been celebrated over they years.
Tuesday we will have Toddler Tales at 10:30AM, so be sure to bring those little ones to have fun singing, reading, and crafting with Ms. Rachael. Later that day we will have an Adult Craft where we will be making spindle snowmen at 1PM. That evening at 6:15 PM we will have Flow Yoga with the always wonderful Susan Crum-Cox. Be sure to bring your yoga mat, and a small donation if you can for the class.
Wednesday we start things off with Chair Yoga at 10AM, followed by another round of our Spindle Snowman craft for adults, but this time at our Loretto Branch at 4PM. We wrap up Wednesday with a Kids Craft where we will be making Tart Tin Ornaments. Its a great classic looking ornament that will be the perfect addition to anyone’s handmade ornament collection!
Thursday the Teens will be doing a Candy Cane themed pour paint craft at 4:30PM, and after that we will have our last round of the Spindle Snowman craft for adults at 6PM. Finally of Friday we will have another Kids Craft where we will be making Winter Solstice Birdfeeder Ornaments at 4PM.
If you can’t make it in person for any kids crafts this week, don’t worry! We have a Grab’n’Go kids traditional garland kit you can string together at home to decorate with! If you can’t make it to the library to get your book fix, check out our Bookmobile schedule and see when the library is coming to your area! Remember some events do require pre registration and don’t forget there is now a Loretto branch of the Marion County Public Library located at 255 School Drive in Loretto, KY. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. and every 4th Friday from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m.
