Our first show of our 2024-2025 Season is… 🥁
✏️Junie B. Jones the Musical Jr!✏️
That’s right! We loved it so much the first time, Junie B. is returning to the stage here at Kentucky Classic Arts! This is our first show of the season, and it will be performed in October as a part of our Youth Theatre Class. We will have two age groups (which means two casts!) one for ages 6-12, the other for ages 11-18! We are so excited to revisit this show, so be on the lookout for updates on classes and other information!
It is Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie’s friend, Lucille, does not want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting!·

Our second show of our 2024-2025 Season is… 🥁
📖Little Women the Musical📖
We are so excited to have this classic story with a modern musical twist for our upcoming season! We will be performing in December, just in time for Christmas! This show is for adults, as well as teens ages 12-16. We will need a lot of strong singers, dancers, and actors for this one, so watch out for information about auditions and performances.
Louisa May Alcott’s beloved story of the adventures of the four March sisters is brought to vivid musical life in Little Women. The Civil War is in full swing, and the March sisters — Meg, the oldest, a romantic,; the spirited and tomboyish Jo; sweet and loving Beth; and irascible, playful Amy — live in Concord, Massachusetts with their Marmee while their father is on the battlefield. Filled with adventure (both lived and imagined), heartbreak, and a deep sense of hope, the struggle of these “Little Women” to find their own voices mirrors the growing pains of a young America. With buoyant, joyful melodies, memorable characters, and a big-hearted message, Little Women reminds us that “sometimes when you dream, your dreams come true.”

Our third show of our 2024-2025 Season is… 🥁
🐰Bunnies: A Hopping New Musical🐰
We will be kicking off 2025 with Bunnies, a musical for our young actors, ages 5-11! This musical will not only usher in the new year here at Kentucky Classic Arts, but will also be just in time for Easter, with performances in April! We can’t to see this adorable show on the stage, so be on the lookout for more info on how to get involved and see the show!
Come join the hopping Bunnies in this fun, furry show! Featuring a heartwarming story of sharing and, of course, plenty of furry friends, this musical is sure to delight audiences. With speaking lines, solos, unison parts, a healthy message, and cute costumes, your students will have a hippity-hoppity good time!

Our fourth show of our 2024-2025 Season is… 🥁
🍅 Something Rotten! Jr. 🍅
Our spring musical, May 2025, will be Something Rotten! We cannot wait to bring this huge show to our stage with our teen actors (ages 12-18)! This musical comedy has something for everyone, so be on the lookout for more information about auditions and performances!
The Bottom brothers, two struggling playwrights in Renaissance London, need a hit. That’s easier said than done when your chief competition is local rock star William Shakespeare. The Bottom brothers’ plan: write the world’s first musical! This rollicking song-and-dance extravaganza has the Bard, Broadway, and everything in between. Best of all, it can be enjoyed without CliffsNotes!

Our fifth show of our 2024-2025 Season is… 🥁
🦜 Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville 🦜
We can’t wait to escape with you in this new story told by Jimmy Buffett classic songs! This show will be performed by our adult actors at our outdoor stage behind the Arts Centre! We can’t wait to share this tropical paradise with you in July 2025! Be on the lookout for more info on auditions and performances!
Be transported to a tropical island getaway in Jimmy Buffett’s Escape To Margaritaville. This upbeat and energetic new musical is the story of a part-time bartender, part-time singer, and full-time charmer named Tully who thinks he’s got life all figured out, until a beautiful career-minded tourist steals his heart and makes him question everything. This hilarious, heartwarming musical comedy features the most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, “Margaritaville,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Fins,” “Volcano,” and many more!

Our sixth and final show of our 2024-2025 Season is… 🥁
🍷 Wine, Cheese & Murder 🍷
As a part of our Speakeasy Murders series in our very own speakeasy, Prohibition 101, we will be transporting to into bygones times with Wine, Cheese & Murder in August 2025! This will close out our season, and will be our next installment in what we hope to be a long-running tradition! Please stay on the lookout for updates on how to audition and see this show, we can’t wait for you to join in on the fun!
To publicize her new wine, vineyard owner Chardonnay Boudreaux invites wine expert Beau Jolie to host a wine tasting. The tasting immediately turns sour when Beau discovers the wine is contaminated with gasoline. Before anyone can cry sour grapes, Beau Jolie drops dead. Police Chief Moscato launches an investigation, only to be faced with another murder. Are the two murders and the ruined wine the work of one person or more? Could it be Chardonnay’s sister Brie or their estranged stepbrother Marlowe? Perhaps French cheese master Henri Chablis or longtime manager Madeira Lambrusco had a hand in the crimes? Ripe with suspects and motives, this mystery is looking like a vintage murder.
