Here is your look at the week here at MCPL! As we go into August we would like to remind our patrons that August is our programming slowdown month. We will be using this month to plan for the rest of the year and the coming year, so there will be slightly less events than in other months. We also have a new schedule for Bookmobile Community Stops, so be sure to check that out and stop and see the Bookmobile! We are also expanding our hours at our Loretto Branch! Check out the graphic to see our new hours!
We have Library Nature Center joining us today at 1PM to share some critters with us so be sure to bring the family down to check it out! We will have our last Toddler Tales until September this Tuesday at 10:30AM.
Adult Readers Book Club will be meeting to discuss “Invisible Girl” by Lisa Jewell Tuesday at 5:30PM, and if you’ve been participating in Adult Summer Reading be sure to join us Friday at 5PM for the Wrap Up party!
If you’ve got kiddos who love to read Dan Santat books, be sure to bring them as we live steam the author talk Wednesday at 2PM, and if they’re headed back to school be sure to bring them to our back to school Tie-Dye event Friday at 4:30PM. For Teens we have a craft where we will be making DIY Bath Bombs Thursday at 4PM, and Teen Café Saturday at 10AM!
Thursday we will have Coffee with Veterans at 9AM so if someone you know is a Veteran looking for information on benefits, be sure to send them our way!
Finally, if you have a green thumb be sure to join us for our Plant Swap Saturday at 2PM!

If you want to stay up-to-date on all things new and happening at your public library, all you need to do is sign up for our e-newsletter. It’s easy! Go to our website: www.marioncopublic.org and find the opt-in form on the right side of the screen, enter your email address, then look forward to weekly news to be delivered to your inbox. In addition to the weekly newsletter, we also use Facebook to make quick announcements such as library closures or modified hours due to winter weather. We are open every day but Sunday.
While you may see some of the events highlighted individually on our VisitLebanonKY calendar there is so much going on that we suggest you get on the email list and follow the library on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/MarionCoPublicLibrary
Remember some events do require pre registration and don’t forget there is now a Loretto branch of the Marion County Public Library.
