Here is a look at the week at MCPL! We want to start by highlighting that it is Banned Books Week! We have some book displays in the library with banned books available for checkout. We encourage you to come check them out this week!
As for our programs, we start off Monday with a Career Edge Workshop beginning at 11AM at the Main Branch. We will also have the same workshop at the Loretto Branch on Wednesday from 11-12PM. We also have Kids Free Painting from 3-6PM. This is a passive program which means we will have painting stations up for you to bring your elementary aged kiddos to paint and create anytime between 3 and 6. We also have a book swap at 5PM, so if you’ve got some books you’d like to bring and swap or if you just want to show up and browse the selection we encourage you to come by and check it out.
On Tuesday be sure to join us for Toddler Tales at 10:30AM. We will also have a Teen CD Painting craft at 5PM, and our Adult Readers Book Club will be meeting at 5:30Pm to discuss Sue Grafton’s novel “A is for Alabi”. Be sure to pick up Octobers book club book: “When We Collided” by Emery Lord. Wednesday be sure to join us for Chair Yoga with the always wonderful Susan Crum-Cox at 10AM, and Thursday you wont want to miss our Adult Craft!- We will be diamond Painting!
As always if you can’t make it in to the library see when the library will be close to you with our Bookmobile, and keep in mind that we will be CLOSED Saturday 28th as we celebrate Ham Days with all you wonderful people!
