Makers Mark Distillery
Maker’s Mark Distillery is one of the most iconic stops on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
The distillery hosts more than 100,000 visitors each year from all over the world. The distillery also offers visitors unique opportunities throughout the year including art exhibits, specialty dinners at the onsite restaurant, Star Hill Provisions, festivals and more.
Distillery tours are offered every day except for major holidays and every hour on the half hour. Visitors can dip their own bottle in the iconic red wax in the distillery gift shop. The gift shop offers visitors a variety of Maker’s Mark merchandise including clothing, artwork, souvenir items, specialty bottles, and of course bourbon.

Limestone Branch Distillery
Brothers Steve and Paul Beam opened Limestone Branch Distillery in 2011. Yes…that Beam.
The brothers’ lineage and heritage is embedded in Kentucky distilling history. That colorful history, and the fact the brothers restored the revered Yellowstone label back to esteemed status, are highlights of a tour at Limestone Branch Distillery.
During the tour you’ll learn about the history of the Beam and Dant families and the many generations of distillers on both sides.
The distillery has a barrel warehouse and space for outdoor events, including weddings and reunions. The distillery also offers special events throughout the year.
Limestone Branch Distillery has a fierce and diehard following, and it’s products are distributed worldwide. The distillery houses a gift shop that includes Limestone branded merchandise and all of their distilled spirits for purchase.

Kentucky Cooperage
“Bourbon fans are very interested in how ISC barrels are crafted,” says Ann Daugherty, tour guide at Kentucky Cooperage. “I have given tours to groups from all over the world, and I take pride in introducing Kentucky Cooperage to them”
Even folks who aren’t bourbon fans flock to Kentucky Cooperage to enjoy the tour because the coopering profession is seeped in history, and the entire process of barrel making is so darn interesting, colorful and exciting.
Tours are available Monday through Friday, and demand is huge. That’s why it’s recommended you purchase your tickets online, in advance, although it is possible to buy tickets upon arrival. By purchasing your tickets in advance online you’re assured of the time and day you prefer. Tours do sell out, and you’re taking a bit of a chance by waiting to purchase tickets upon arrival.
