In June of 1927 prosperous Lebanon, KY farmer and 73-year-old businessman George L. Graham suffered a heart attack while working in the fields of his farm, just off the Bradfordsville Highway, the current location of the park. That heart attack led to his death two weeks later; and two years earlier he had specified in his will that those 24 acres be given to the City of Lebanon “to be used as a park.”
Nearly 100 years later the park has grown to almost 100 acres. It takes a staff of about 40 people to maintain and run the place in peak season. There’s a battery of 48 security cameras designed to keep locals and visitors and the property’s facilities safe.
A wide array of activities are held at the park including:
• Youth baseball, football, softball and soccer
• Adult Softball
• Disc Golf
• Walking Track
• Volleyball
• Relay for Life
• March of Dimes
• Annual Hike and Bike
• Christmas in the Park
• Halloween in the Park
• Easter Egg Hunt
• Annual Health and Fitness Day
