- St. Joseph Ramp: End your journey at the convenient put-in/take-out ramp near St. Joseph.
- Avoid the Mud Trap:
- While researching, you may come across the KY 55/US 68 bridge as a potential put-in or take-out point. However, we strongly advise against it.
- Due to water runoff from the bridge, the area on the right-hand side going downstream is extremely deep mud year-round.
- Opt for safer access points to ensure a hassle-free experience.

- Debris Challenge: As you approach the KY 527 bridge near Raywick, be prepared for a massive wall of logs and debris jammed against the upstream side of the bridge supports. Exercise caution, especially during high water.
- Native Wild Turkey: Thanks to conservation efforts, wild turkeys have made a comeback in Kentucky. Listen for their calls and keep an eye out for these majestic birds, especially during early mornings.
