Kentucky native JD Shelburne is set to return to the stage as the headlining act for the 50th Annual Springfield Sorghum Festival on Saturday, October 3rd.
This will mark Shelburne’s third time headlining the long-running festival, a milestone event celebrating its 50th year in Springfield. Organizers say Shelburne and his Nashville-based band are planning a major performance to commemorate the occasion.
Shelburne, a Kentucky-born country artist, continues to build a strong following and has earned a growing list of accolades throughout his career, including making his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in 2025.
Festival officials say the anniversary event is expected to draw large crowds, with Shelburne’s return serving as a highlight of the celebration.
