St. Charles Parish in St. Mary is preparing for its annual parish picnic on Saturday, June 6, featuring food, games, raffles, and family activities for the community.
The event will begin with Mass at 4 p.m. at St. Charles Parish in St. Mary, Kentucky. Dinner will be served from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. inside the parish’s air-conditioned dining room. Carry-out meals will also be available.
Adult meals are $15 and include ribeye steak, potatoes, green beans, slaw, and dessert. The steaks will be grilled by members of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association. Children’s meals are $8 and include a hamburger or hot dog, chips, and dessert.
The picnic will also feature several attractions throughout the evening, including a Create-A-Jar booth, cake booths, a silent auction, and a 50/50 drawing.
One of the highlights of the event will be the Capital Prize raffle, with a top prize of $10,000. Raffle tickets are $10 each. Organizers note that if fewer than 2,000 tickets are sold, the raffle will become a 50/50 split of the pot.
Church members and organizers invite the public to attend for an evening of food, fellowship, and entertainment while supporting the parish community.
