Veterans Day Ceremony and Wreaths Across America Sponsorship Needed

A Veterans Day ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Marion County High School. The community is invited to attend and honor those who have served our nation.
As part of this year’s observance, the Kentucky Vietnam Traveling Wall will be on display inside the Roby Dome both before and after the ceremony, offering visitors a powerful and personal way to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
In addition to the ceremony, there is an urgent call for support of Wreaths Across America. The program ensures that every veteran laid to rest at the Lebanon National Cemetery is remembered with a wreath during the holiday season.
Currently, more than 4,500 veterans are interred at the cemetery, but only 379 wreaths have been sponsored. Each wreath costs $17, and sponsors are needed to help close the gap.
Community members can sponsor a wreath online or contact 1SG (R) Philip Chatigny, Senior Army Instructor at Marion County High School, for more information.
