From the family: Trust…this is not something that she WANTS to do but it must be done. When I first mentioned a fundraiser to her when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts last August, my Mother immediately shot down the idea. 2 weeks after her diagnosis she began aggressive chemotherapy and has been unable to work since. Every symptom, sickness, etc of chemotherapy that one could endure has happened to her. She has not worked since her chemo started and medical bills and other expenses have become overwhelming. She’s not used to asking for help but I want her to know that this is ok. Being a nurse, she’s always had a nurturing spirit, always kind, and truly someone special. My mother has ALWAYS showed up as a wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, friend, and to the many patients that she’s cared for over the years. Now I am asking for us to show up and show out for her!! Come out and help support! If you want to donate, please let us know. Lastly, we are also asking for prayers. Cancer can take a mental, physical and emotional toll on a person and their families. She still has a way to go but she’s THE strongest woman I know!
